Cooking and Touring Tuscany

We are pleased to offer you a mouth-watering new way to experience the glories of Tuscany—especially the lovely, still undiscovered southern region.

Our friends at “Tuscany Way” have created “Cooking Course Vacations” that are based in the family’s medieval house adjoining the castle in the small village of Arcidosso. They’ll meet you at the airport in Florence (2 hours away) or Rome (2 1/2 hours). You’ll soon be sampling the fine food and wine under the tutelage of your teacher and host.   Each group is limited to 4-6 people for six hands-on cooking lessons, You'll discover “La Cucina Povera Toscana,” wholesome and delicious country cooking easy to duplicate in your own kitchen. Guests enjoy guided visits to nearby villages, Siena and a charming seacoast town. Daily lunches in local restaurants let you try the region’s specialties.

This 7 day/6 night tour costs $2,290 (dbl occ.) and can be shortened to 4 days/3 nights for $1,340 (dbl occ.). Singles are available. Rates include all meals, excursions, accommodations with ensuite bathrooms. Cooking Course Vacations run March through November. Call for availability.

When it’s our turn to vacation, I find most airline people like the out-of-the- ordinary places. Well, I’ve found one. Tucked away in the Southern part of Tuscany is a little hunk of paradise called Arcidosso. It’s a once-in-a- lifetime trip that will truly inspire you.
